China’s First Superjumbo Jet Raises Frustration With EU

China purchased its very first superjumbo jet, Airbus A380, on October 14. Three three days later, the jet touched down at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport after completing its first commercial flight in the country. A380 is the largest passenger airliner in the world. It's a two-story, wide-bodied jet with four engines. The airliner is designed and built by Europe's Airbus, a subsidiary of EADS. The plane can accommodate 525 people in a typical three-class configuration or up to 853 people in all-coach class configurations.

Based on ImagePower Global Green Brands Survey, there is a leveling off of American consumers' intentions to spend more on green products over the next year. Other countries such a China, Brazil and India are seeing a trend towards more spending on green products. Over 65% Chinese consumers plan to spend money on green products while 56% Brazilian consumers and 64% of Indian consumers will purchase green products this year. The survey also goes on to detail that these countries consumers are willing to spend more if needed on green products.
